Review: The Oil Kings extended their winning streak to eight with another perfect 3-0 week. It started with a tight overtime win over the Moose Jaw Warriors in a battle of the top two teams in the East. Kristians Pelss broke a 2-2 tie with his 25th of the season just over a minute into the extra session. The Kings then took both ends of a home and home with the Red Deer Rebels. They won Friday in Red Deer 5-2, Travis Ewanyk picked up his first goal of the season, and they beat the Rebels 7-4 Saturday. The game featured 156 minutes in penalties. The Kings locked up their first Central Division pennant and clinched first overall in the Eastern Confernece during the week.
