Playoff Update

Review: The Oil Kings have been very impressive so far in the playoffs, opening up a 2-0 series lead over the defending WHL Champion Ice.  Laurent Brossoit was unbeatable in game 1, posting his first career playoff shutout in a 3-0 win.  In game 2 the Kings fought back to tie the game three times, and only led once on Keegan Lowe's blast from the point with 3:12 left in the third.

Upcoming: Games 3 and 4 are back to back, Wednesday and Thursday in Cranbrook.  Game 5 would be at Rexall Place on Sunday afternoon.

Notes: Henrik Samuelsson is eligible to return to the lineup for Game 3 on Wednesday night after serving his two game suspension for clipping.  The Oil Kings recorded their first playoff win in modern franchise history on March 24.  Curtis Lazar is tied with Jordan Hickmott for the modern franchise lead in all time playoff scoring (5 points).
