Notes: The loss against Regina ended a three game winning streak. Before the game the Oil Kings were alone on top of the WHL Standings for the second time in modern franchise history. They were previously first in 2007 after they opened the season with a victory over Kootenay in the first game in modern franchise history. Forward Colton Stephensen has left the team for an indefinite amount of time to return home to Saskatoon. Stephensen suffered his 5th concussion in his career in the preseason. He had been skating and was cleared to resume contact after being symptom free for over two weeks.
