Review: The Oil Kings closed out the regular season with another 3-0 week pushing their run to 11-0 to end the regular season. Victories in Kootenay (overtime winner by Kristians Pelss), Medicine and Red Deer rounded out the year and the Kings finished with 50 wins and the Scotty Munro Trophy as the top team in the WHL's regular season. They will open the playoffs on Friday against the eighth seeded Kootenay Ice at Rexall Place.
